Chords in the key of G minor

G minor, natural minor. Relative major: B♭.

Same notes and chords as B♭ major, just with Gm as home. Here's the twist minor keys pull: the 5 chord is minor on paper (Dm), but most songs swap in a major D because it pulls home harder. If a minor-key song suddenly sounds dramatic right before the chorus, that's usually the culprit.

The workhorses are the 1m, 4m, ♭6 and ♭7 (Gm, Cm, E♭, F), plus that borrowed major 5 (D).
