Terms of Use

Chartless for Chrome & Chartless Pro · Effective date: October 1, 2026 · Contact: [email protected]

These terms cover the Chartless Chrome extension and the Chartless Pro subscription for it. Chartless is made by CREEDYSOLUTIONS, LLC (Creedy Solutions), "we" below. By installing or using Chartless, or by buying Chartless Pro, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Short version: Chartless is free to use, with a daily charting allowance and a basic tuner. Chartless Pro is a subscription: $39.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $9.99 a month. It renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel any time and you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Lemon Squeezy handles payment and refunds. If you bought the old one-time Chartless Pro, you keep Pro for life. One subscription covers up to 8 browsers.

The iPhone and Android apps

These terms are for the Chrome extension only. The Chartless apps for iPhone and Android, and any subscriptions bought inside them, are sold through the App Store and Google Play and are governed by those stores' terms (on iPhone and iPad, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement). A Chrome subscription doesn't unlock the phone apps, and a phone subscription doesn't unlock Chrome.

Free and Pro

The free version of Chartless includes the single-string tuner and tuning presets, 10 minutes a day of charting from a browser tab in Simple mode, guitar chord diagrams, chord sheets and PDF export, practice loops with the Warm Pad sound, and Strings. Chartless Pro unlocks everything else, including the full tuner suite, unlimited charting, charting from the microphone and from audio files, Advanced mode, Nashville numbers, transpose, the capo advisor, Stage view, every instrument, and the full practice sound bank. What's in each tier is shown in the extension and may change as Chartless grows; we won't take a feature away from an active paid period without telling you.

Subscriptions and auto-renewal

Cancelling

You can cancel any time, in a few clicks, from the Lemon Squeezy customer portal: use Manage subscription in Chartless Settings, or the link in your receipt email. Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for (or the end of your free trial), and then Chartless moves to the free tier. You can resubscribe whenever you like and everything turns back on. Uninstalling the extension does not cancel a subscription; cancel in the portal. If you get stuck, email us and we'll cancel it for you.

Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record for Chartless Pro. That means Lemon Squeezy is the seller on your receipt, collects any tax due, and handles billing and refunds under its own terms and refund policy. We never see or store your card details. Refund requests are handled under Lemon Squeezy's refund policy; if something went wrong, email us at [email protected] first and we'll help sort it out with them. Cancelling stops future charges but does not by itself refund the current period.

If you bought the one-time Chartless Pro

Before Chartless became a subscription, Pro was a one-time purchase. If you bought it, you keep Pro for life in Chartless for Chrome, including the new features in Chartless 2.0 and later, with no subscription. Your existing license key keeps working. Thank you for being early.

Your license

Your music

Chartless listens to audio you choose to play and shows chords for your own use. It doesn't host, download, or distribute anyone's music. You're responsible for having the right to play the audio you chart and for how you use the charts you make, and for following the terms of the sites and services you play music from. Chord detection is a best guess from the audio; it's often right and sometimes wrong, so trust your ears.

Privacy

Chartless runs on your device. Audio is analyzed in memory and never recorded or uploaded, and there's no AI in the app. The only network requests Chartless makes on its own are license checks. The details are in the privacy policy.

Changes to Chartless and to these terms

Chartless keeps changing: features get added, improved, and sometimes reworked. We may update these terms; when we do, the effective date above changes, and if a change materially affects paying subscribers we'll say so in the release notes or by email before it applies to your next renewal. Continuing to use Chartless after a change means you accept the updated terms. If we ever stop offering Chartless Pro, we'll stop renewals and won't charge you again.

No warranty

Chartless is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't promise that Chartless will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that every chord, key, tempo or tuning reading will be correct. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, CREEDYSOLUTIONS, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) Chartless. Our total liability for any claim relating to Chartless is limited to the amount you paid for Chartless Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or $10 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that can't be worked out by emailing us first will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, unless the consumer laws where you live give you the right to bring it locally.
